This sinking de-icer operates at the bottom of the tank and is less likely to be disturbed by livestock. Thermostatic control coupled with thermal feedback protects the unit from overheating. The position of the thermostat above the heating element ensures safety even in low-water conditions. Each unit comes with a galvanized wire guard for use in plastic tanks. 120 volts.
