Shipping & Delivery Policy

We ship within the United States only. Our online store carries over-the-counter animal-health, farm, ranch, and pet products. Prescription medications are handled separately — see Prescription medications below.

Processing and cutoff

In-stock orders placed before 1:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday, ship the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff, on weekends, or on national holidays begin processing the next business day. We do not ship on weekends.

Carrier and rates

Orders ship UPS Ground from Fort Dodge, Iowa unless a faster service is requested. Qualified orders over $250 ship free. Orders over ten pounds, orders containing FOB or hazardous items, and orders shipped outside the 48 contiguous states do not qualify for free shipping, and hazard fees are never waived. Orders that don't qualify ship for $12.95 unless they exceed ten pounds or contain FOB/hazard items.

Temperature-sensitive items

Refrigerated products, including vaccines and certain medications, are packed with ice and routed to spend as little time in transit as possible. We may hold a cooled order to ship on a Monday so it isn't sitting over a weekend. Please order temperature-sensitive items early in the week. Orders needing more than three days in transit should be upgraded to a faster service.

Estimating delivery

Count business days only, and don't count the day you order. Most carriers don't deliver Saturdays, and national holidays aren't shipping or transit days.

Order status

Orders begin as Awaiting Fulfillment, move to Awaiting Shipment when processing begins (most ship within 24 hours), and change to Shipped when the package leaves our warehouse. You'll receive tracking by email.

Prescription medications

Prescription (Rx) medications cannot be purchased through the online store — they are not listed in our online catalog and cannot be added to a cart.

Prescriptions are dispensed by our licensed veterinary clinic under a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR), after a veterinarian has authorized the medication for your animal. You can arrange a prescription in person or by phone at 800-354-7433.

Once a prescription has been authorized and verified, we can ship it to you or you can pick it up at the clinic. Prescription shipments follow the same carrier, cutoff, and cold-chain handling described above, and we ship prescriptions within the United States only.

Returns, damage, and refunds

Report damage within two days of delivery and we'll replace the item at no charge. Returns are accepted up to 30 days after delivery with the buyer paying return shipping; after 30 days a 15% restocking fee applies. Refunds are issued to the original card within 5 days of our receiving the returned merchandise.
