Dexamethasone SP 100mL

Dexamethasone is a synthetic derivative of prednisolone, exhibiting stronger anti-inflammatory effects and a wider range of hormonal and metabolic actions. The SP formulation, known as dexamethasone sodium phosphate injection, USP, contains 4 mg/mL of dexamethasone sodium phosphate, equivalent to 3 mg/mL of dexamethasone. This formulation is highly water-soluble, allowing for the administration of relatively large doses in a small volume of diluent.

It is specifically indicated for rapid adrenal glucocorticoid and anti-inflammatory therapy in horses. Administration is strictly intravenous (IV) to ensure optimal absorption and efficacy.
