Flunazine Injectable Solution

Flunazine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) containing flunixin meglumine, providing 50 mg of flunixin per milliliter.

Uses:

• Cattle: Used to manage fever linked to bovine respiratory disease (BRD), endotoxemia, and acute bovine mastitis. Also effective for controlling inflammation in endotoxemia.

• Horses: Provides relief from inflammation and pain due to musculoskeletal disorders and alleviates visceral pain associated with colic.

Dosage Guidelines:

• Cattle: Administer 1.1 - 2.2 mg/kg (equivalent to 1-2 ml per 100 lbs.) slowly via intravenous (IV) injection. This can be given once daily or split into two doses administered every 12 hours for up to three days.

• Horses: Administer 0.5 mg/lb. (1 ml per 100 lbs.) either intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM) once daily. Treatment may be continued for up to five days.

Precautions:

• Not approved for use in dry dairy cows or veal calves.
